Q

How to automatically download configurations on routers/switches

Sudhanshu Gupta offers the best way to automatically download configurations on routers and switches in this expert response.

How do I automatically download configurations on routers and switches? Is there a way of doing such so that I can archive them somewhere as back up?
The best way is to have a TFTP server in the network (preferably a LAN). You can schedule jobs for uploading/downloading images. If you are using an NMS, this can be done automatically including updates from Internet.
