Q

How does CCIE certification help me find a network security job?

Understand how a CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert) security certificate can aid you in pursuing a career in network security from our Cisco certification expert, David Minutella.

I am interested in a career in network security and intend to earn the Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification. Will a CCIE security certificate help me find a job? My problem is that my graduation is pending as I have a few papers left to clear. Do you think that will hinder me from finding a job in network security after the completion of my CCIE security track?
The CCIE certification will certainly help you attain a job in the networking security field once it is complete. At the very least, it will get you in the door to get interviewed. I would not worry as the certification will still be just as viable once you graduate.
