Finding information on IOS devices

I just received a Cisco 1924 switch and Cisco 2501 router so I can learn Cisco routing. I have a question -- are there IOS devices that I need to install, and is there any Web site that can help me configure them.

Yes, you will need an IOS. Router would normally have one, without which they cannot run. It's much like PC. With out Linux or Windows or DOS they do not run. You can go to Cisco.com to get a lot of information which will be helpful to you. Besides that SearchNetworking.com is another most useful site. See router documentation here:
