Do I need a switch or a router

Retired Expert - Joel Johnson

I have a DSL business account with five static IP's with five computers on the network connected by a regular HUB. My question is what would be the best way to connect my five computers so that when I am downloading large files from the NET it will not bog down my other systems? Would I need switching router? If so what is the better one on the market?

switch will solve your problem. High-end switches made by Cisco, HP, and 3Com are rock solid. However, for five nodes you can get by with a Netgear switch.
