Q

DHCP server

I have a domain controller that is the DHCP server with an IP of 192.168.16.1. I also installed another server...

as application server and I want this machine to also be a DHCP server but I cannot configure it. It's giving an error "dhcp/bind service on this workgroup server has encountered another server with an IP 192.168.16.1" the application is in a workgroup called "ocr1gke" and it has the IP 192.168.16.2 and the DHCP server does not start.

How can I enable it and what is the reason the DHCP server is not starting?
Make sure you give both servers static IP settings. You also need to authorize the server inside DHCP manager. If both servers are on the same LAN make sure you are giving out separate IP ranges or you will have conflicts.
