I am sure the recession is weighing heavily on everyone's mind these days, and many are looking to spend their unexpected downtime on upgrading their skills and making themselves more marketable. With that being said, the good news in this economy is that in the IT sector, the unemployment rates are actually less than half the national average so there is still an IT job shortage. By making yourself more marketable by achieving a professional level exam such as the Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), you are putting yourself in a better position to get hired and remain employed.
