On my CCNA certificate it's written valid upto 2004. What does it mean and what shall I do to further extend its validation?

As of last year, all Cisco certs come with expiration dates. If you check the CCNA requirements page on the Web site, you should find a section therein labeled "recertification requirements" or something similar. Check it out to learn exactly what's required to maintain your credentials. past the expiration date.
