Q

Are you on a domain name system (DNS) blacklist database?

Many domain name system (DNS) blacklist databases exist. If your mail server or IP address has been misused you may be on them. Our networking enterprise security expert explains.

Who do I contact to find out if I am blacklisted?
One location to check is the MxToolbox Blacklist Check. Another is DShield; while they do not have a blacklist directory they do have a top 10 list that shows some bad offenders. Blacklisting occurs when your mail servers or IP address have been used to spread spam. There are around 100 DNS blacklist databases.
