Added switch: Now have problem with Macs and AppleTalk

The company where I work has several Macs. Until now we used repeaters and there wasn't any problem, but now that we have switch, most of the time the Macs can't see each other. Could this be a switch (configuration) problem or AppleTalk problem with switches?
