You just have to make sure that your UNIX box has an Ethernet connection to your network that the router is on and use the command Telnet "IP address" to access the 2600 router. Makes sure that you have vty access configured on your router and that there are no access list that block the UNIX box from accessing the router. This was first published in October 2002
